JOB SUMMARY:

The Purchasing Officer shall help establish procedures for the purchase of required materials, tools, equipment, and services that are within the budget and conform to agreed specifications and standards.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

    1. Source new vendors for better quality products/items as well as better processes.
    1. Evaluate the documents submitted by the vendors for accreditation purposes (supplying quality and offering the best price).
    1. Obtain bids/quotations and negotiate with vendors to get better prices, deals, terms, and discounts, and confer with vendors to ensure prompt delivery.
    1. Ensure that vendor contracts are duly approved by the CEO/President before execution.
    1. Supervise the necessary demonstration of supplies and equipment, and distribute procured items.
    1. Prepare/review purchase requisitions and orders for accuracy and ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
    1. Develop master files, templates, forms, and checklists to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing department.
    1. Develop, coordinate, and implement systems, procedures, and controls to ensure effective centralized purchasing.
    1. Demonstrate personal responsibility and loyalty to the company by adhering to corporate principles of business conduct, especially regarding conflicts of interest.
    1. Process Bureau of Customs' registration and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering courses (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial).
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Possesses the ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Candidate must be able to start/join immediately.
  • Willing to work in Antipolo City.
  • One (1) full-time position available.
