We are an electrical engineering company looking for a Purchasing Officer who will handle procurement for technical (electrical) requirements and other functional departments of the organization. The role requires experience in technical buying, importation, and customs compliance, as well as strong supplier sourcing skills locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate local & international suppliers for all company needs (technical, administrative, operational, etc.)
  • Procure electrical materials, testing equipment, office supplies, services, and other departmental requirements
  • Manage end-to-end procurement: RFQs, negotiations, POs, tracking & coordination
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of customs and import documents
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand purchasing requirements
  • Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain supplier records and prepare procurement reports
  • Implement cost-efficient purchasing strategies while maintaining quality

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years' experience as Purchasing Officer / Technical Buyer
  • Experience in purchasing for both technical items and general functional department needs
  • Knowledgeable in importation & customs compliance
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail, especially on specifications and documentation
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement systems
