Job Description

  • Act as the primary liaison between management and labor unions.
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
  • Support negotiations during collective bargaining processes.
  • Investigate and respond to employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on labor-related issues and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union contracts, and company policies.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and representing the company in arbitration, mediation, or labor board hearings.
  • Monitor labor trends, wage data, and employment regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Develop and deliver training to HR staff and management on labor relations practices.
  • Maintain records of labor relations activities, including contract negotiations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in labor relations, employee relations, or human resources.
  • Experience working with unions and administering CBAs preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment standards, and industrial relations practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
