Job description

The HR Assistant Manager overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for implementing HR policies, managing recruitment and onboarding, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company regulations. The Assistant HR Manager also plays a key role in talent development, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. By fostering a positive work environment, they contribute to the overall success of the organization while aligning HR strategies with business goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education & Experience:

  2. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  3. At least 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  4. Strong background in HR operations, employee relations, and talent management.

  5. Skills & Competencies:

  6. Solid knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.

  7. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  9. Experience in handling recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee engagement.
  10. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related tools and systems.
  11. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  12. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  13. Other Requirements:

  14. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  15. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  16. Adaptability and willingness to drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Navigator - ESTABLISHING STRATEGIC DIRECTION

  • Initiates/sets the development or creation of HR policies and procedures in line with operational

strategies, including the implementation plans for process and system changes.

  • Facilitates the Business Planning process in the department/assigned teams.

Navigator – COMMUNICATING WITH IMPACT

  • Cascades and implements new/revised government mandated policies, guidelines, and

procedures.

  • Cascades and implements new/revised corporate HR policies, guidelines and procedures

approved by management.

  • Presents/Communicates/Meets with all levels in the company including other concerned

stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate management of HR reports.

  • Determines the resources needed by the department/assigned teams to achieve goals and

ensures that the same are communicated to Management for approval.

Mobilizer – DRIVING FOR RESULTS

  1. Human Resources

  2. Oversees day to day HR operations.

  3. Implements all approved contracts within the bounds of agreement.

  4. Reviews and recommends for approval of Management all major contracts to be

entered into through the HR Department.

  1. HR- Recruitment and Onboarding

  2. Oversees recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.

  3. Establishes and maintains active networking relations.

  4. Ensures that all placements and personnel movements are documented appropriately,

according to policy and that appointment letters / contracts are given in a timely

manner.

  1. HR- Compensation and Benefits

  2. Oversees the process of administering company and government benefits.

  3. Conducts Compensation and Benefits Study

  4. Reviews and approve appointment papers.

  5. Ensures that 201 files of active and inactive employees are secured and scanned.

  6. HR-Employee Engagement

  7. Conducts employee counselling.

  8. Designs, implements, and evaluates programs, mechanisms, and processes, which aim

to strengthen employee-employer relationship, promote camaraderie, collaboration

and employee engagement.

  • Oversees and participates in the preparation for employee engagement- geared events.

  • HR- Labor Relations

  • Ensures compliance with applicable labor laws.

  • Serves as organization's employee relations specialist.

  • Handles other employee relations functions.

  • HR- Performance Management

  • Monitors performance management compliance.

  • Prepares Quarterly Performance Review Summary for submission.

  • Recommends programs and interventions to improve productivity of workforce.

  • Mediates between employee and superior in resolving performance –related issues.

  • Setup, maintain, and improve the effective and structured employee training program.

Mobilizer – CHANGE LEADERSHIP

  • Makes recommendations for changes as needed and ensures that the company's HR policies and procedures are followed; Establishes the proper tools/systems/methods to discover and prevent fraud/irregularities in scope of work.

  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing work methods and procedures of the department and implements changes to improve efficiency and productivity of the department/assigned teams.
