Job Summary:
The R&D Chef is responsible for developing, testing, and improving food products that align with the company's brand standards, cost objectives, and market trends. This role involves conceptualizing new recipes, refining existing offerings, and collaborating closely with Operations, Marketing, and Quality Assurance to ensure that all products meet quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and test new recipes, menu items, and product concepts aligned with brand direction and target markets.
- Conduct product trials, taste evaluations, and shelf-life tests to ensure consistency and quality.
- Standardize recipes, including portion sizes, ingredients, and costing for production and commercial rollout.
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and QA to ensure product feasibility and compliance with food safety standards.
- Research and analyze food trends, ingredients, and culinary techniques to drive innovation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all R&D activities, including formulation sheets, costing, and process improvements.
- Provide technical culinary support during product launches and staff training.
- Ensure that all recipe development adheres to HACCP and GMP standards.
