Job Summary

The position is primarily responsible for the following:

  1. Leading the development of new business initiatives in the capital markets in line with the Exchange's strategy.
  2. Exploring and presenting new business opportunities to Management
  3. Managing the execution of approved new business initiatives in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

  1. Responsible for leading the research, implementation and management of new business initiatives particularly developing and growing new products and services of the PSE.
  2. Presents new business opportunities to the Management Committee
  3. Implements decisions arrived at by the Management Committee and/or the Board of Directors on new products/services being proposed.
  4. Sets the parameters in the drafting of relevant rules for new business products to be offered by PSE
  5. Leads in writing and recommending policies relevant to new products and services.
  6. Represents the Department in all meetings and official functions relating to new business initiatives within and outside of the PSE.
  7. Ensures that the new product/service initiatives are consistent to the PSE rules and policies.
  8. Leads the department in the advancement and promotion of the PSE as a business institution.
  9. Identifies opportunities to improve business development including strengthening relationships with existing market groups and associations through networking and membership affiliation.
  10. Oversees the whole process of continuing business/new business initiatives being undertaken by the Department.
  11. Ensures adequate communication and coordination with internal and key external parties.
  12. Sets the Department's annual business plans and budget, oversees actual performance versus business plans and ensures that the Department is operating within the approved budget.
  13. Ensures the attainment of the Department's annual business plans.
  14. Monitors global market news and trends to stay abreast of the markets and latest developments.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Management, or equivalent
  2. At least ten (10) years of work experience is required with relevant experience in business/product development and project management as well a sound background in capital markets and the financial industry
  3. Knowledge on valuation, derivatives, digital assets and financial technology is an advantage, Research and Marketing Techniques
  4. Amenable to work on-site (BGC, Taguig)
