Government & Industry Relations Manager

Location: BGC, Taguig

Work Setup: Hybrid (On-site twice a week)

Overview

This role supports national workforce and talent development efforts by managing relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and key stakeholders. The position focuses on advancing policy initiatives, driving multi-sector collaboration, and strengthening the country's talent ecosystem—particularly in support of the IT-BPM sector.

Job Summary

The Government & Industry Relations Manager leads policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and partnership-building initiatives. The role requires someone who can represent the organization in high-level discussions, develop policy recommendations, and coordinate programs that strengthen talent and workforce priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Advocacy

  • Lead policy discussions with government agencies, councils, and partner organizations.
  • Support the development of policy recommendations and advocacy briefs related to workforce and education.
  • Monitor national legislation, education reforms, and public programs impacting the talent ecosystem.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government units, industry associations, education institutions, and private sector partners.
  • Represent the organization in committees, working groups, and high-level consultations.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multi-sector partners to align national talent initiatives.

Program Development & Management

  • Design and implement projects that support workforce development and talent strategy goals.
  • Coordinate cross-sector initiatives that enhance industry visibility and policy impact.
  • Track project progress, generate insights, and propose improvements.

Thought Leadership & Research

  • Stay updated on workforce, education, and industry trends.
  • Provide insights and analysis to guide strategic decisions and policy positions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree (Public Policy, Communications, Business Administration, or related field).
  • 5–7 years of experience in government relations, advocacy, policy, association management, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience navigating government agencies or industry associations is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage both strategic policy work and day-to-day execution.

Preferred

  • Background in public affairs, workforce development, or national-level programs.
  • Experience representing an organization in external meetings, consultations, or committees.
