Key responsibilities

  • Accounting and reporting:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards (like GAAP).
  • Tax management:
  • Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns and ensure timely compliance.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and advise on their impact.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external tax advisors.
  • Treasury management:
  • Manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.
  • Perform cash flow forecasting and manage short-term investments.
  • Ensure the company has adequate capitalization and access to financing.
  • Develop and implement policies for treasury operations.
  • Financial planning and analysis:
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
  • Risk management and compliance:
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax and banking laws.
  • Process improvement:
  • Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Support strategic initiatives, such as new entity setups or process redesigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • A professional certification like a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting, finance, tax, and treasury.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
