This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and values accuracy and accountability. You'll take ownership of key accounting tasks, from transaction recording to reporting and compliance, while supporting smooth financial operations. We're looking for a proactive, self-sufficient individual who can work independently, stay organized, and help strengthen the company's financial systems.

The Accounting Associate supports the Regional Finance team in recording day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for a junior accountant who is detail-oriented, familiar with retail accounting systems, and capable of handling administrative tasks related to business permits, government requirements and compliance.

TRANSACTION RECORDING & BOOKKEEPING

• Record daily sales, purchases, and expense transactions in the company's accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end closing activities.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & RECEIVABALE

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections.
• Maintain up-to-date records of billings, collections, and disbursements.

REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, summaries, and management reports.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities by compiling schedules and reconciliations.
• Ensure all accounting documents, receipts, and supporting records are properly filed, organized, and easily retrievable.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for internal reviews, external audits, and government submissions.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data at all times.

COMPLIANCE & PERMITS

• Handle processing and renewal of business permits, licenses, and other government-related documents (e.g., BIR, DTI, LGU).
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory filing requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory offices and vendors for documentation needs.
• Assist in processing other required documents for business compliance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or trading industry.
• Familiarity with retail accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or POS-based systems).
• Knowledge of BIR compliance and government document processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools.
