Club Operations Manager

What You'll Do

Operational Oversight:

  • Manage the daily flow of club activities, from front desk reception to food & beverage and recreational services.

  • Keep the facilities in top condition—clean, safe, and ready for use at all times.

  • Ensure club policies and service standards are consistently followed.

Member Experience:

  • Provide members and guests with outstanding service that feels both professional and personal.

  • Respond to concerns or suggestions with empathy and solutions.

  • Introduce creative programs, activities, or events that keep members engaged and connected.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead by example—mentor, train, and support staff so they feel confident and motivated.

  • Create fair schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance.

  • Recognize achievements and guide improvements through constructive feedback.

Financial & Administrative Duties:

  • Help prepare budgets and manage operational expenses responsibly.

  • Oversee inventory and resources to avoid waste and ensure efficiency.

  • Prepare clear, timely reports to keep leadership updated.

Safety & Standards:

  • Uphold safety, cleanliness, and compliance requirements in every part of the club.

  • Put in place simple, effective systems that help the team work smoothly.

  • Be prepared to handle emergencies with calm and confidence.

Growth & Engagement:

  • Work with the marketing or membership team to promote programs, events, and new initiatives.

  • Look for ways to grow membership, improve services, and increase revenue streams.

Build good relationships with members, partners, and the wider community.

What We're Looking For:

Education & Background:

  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Sports Management, Tourism, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus but not required).

  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, hospitality, leisure, or club management.

Skills & Strengths:

  • A natural leader with excellent people skills—approachable, clear, and inspiring.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities—you can juggle many moving parts without losing focus.

  • Comfortable with budgeting, reporting, and basic management systems/software.

  • Knowledge of food & beverage operations, events, and facility management is an advantage.

  • Flexible and adaptable—you can handle surprises and adjust plans when needed.

  • Professional but personable—you know when to be formal and when to bring warmth.
