Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess viability of business opportunities
  • Oversee successful and timely implementation of pursued business opportunities
  • Prepare and/or review financial models and valuation with sound assumptions to be used as basis for major investment decisions
  • Conduct financial analysis and preparing financial forecasts to assess financial viability and profitability of investments
  • Spearhead and/or oversee key project pre-development activities such as coordination with customers or partner investors, Due Diligence for acquisition projects, participation in Competitive Selection Process, permitting and construction up to declaration of commercial operations
  • Provide project team with clear background of the project and objectives
  • Develop an overall plan and roadmap with a project timeline to be agreed upon by the project team
  • Ensure that key risks are identified and recommend mitigating measures together with project team
  • Ensure projects are completed based on the planned timeline and meets the set criteria and objectives
  • Overall coordinator for the project team, consultants and external partners
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop recommendations on how to address roadblocks
  • Research and actively participate in departmental strategy and objectives formulation workshops/sessions
  • Develop and maintaining working relationships with consultants, customers, regulators, LGUs and partners and other key contacts that would affect the projects
  • Coach and guide Senior Business Analysts
  • Ensure that all relevant initiatives, activities and tools are properly budgeted

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or University
  • Extensive working experience in developing power plants of various technology
  • Deep understanding of the Philippine Power Industry
  • Preferably with 5 years and up experience as a Manager in Business Development or equivalent role
  • Required Skill(s): Strategy formulation; Business Origination or Conceptualization; Corporate Finance and Valuation; Project Management, Change Management and Risk Assessment; Strong Network and Relationship Building; and Leadership and Coaching
