About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Security Architect to play a critical role in shaping our client's technology landscape. This isn't a traditional IT Manager position, as you won't be managing a team of engineers. Instead, you'll act as a senior hands-on technical authority, blending deep infrastructure knowledge with a strong cybersecurity background.

You'll be trusted to design, guide, and secure enterprise-grade solutions while serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues. This is a strategic, long-term role where you'll have significant influence over how infrastructure and security are planned, implemented, and maintained.


Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and optimize infrastructure across Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, virtualization, and hybrid environments.
  • Apply cybersecurity expertise to ensure proactive risk management, threat detection, and compliance alignment (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
  • Conduct audits and security assessments, recommending improvements to strengthen overall IT posture.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for critical technical and security incidents.
  • Partner with leadership to align IT/security roadmaps with business strategy.
  • Document solutions, policies, and standards to ensure long-term maintainability and compliance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and security threats to guide future improvements.

Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of IT experience in infrastructure and security, ideally within an MSP or enterprise environment.

  • Strong technical background in:

  • Microsoft 365 / Azure

  • Networking and firewalls
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Hybrid infrastructure setups
  • Proven cybersecurity experience (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or similar frameworks).
  • Hands-on experience with audits, compliance, and risk assessments.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, Microsoft/Azure, Fortinet, ITIL) preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt priorities when business needs shift.
  • Strong communication skills to advise leadership and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
