QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of BS Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferably with at least one (1) year experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying
  • Must be willing to be assigned in Bangkal, Makati City

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares accurate and timely cost estimates for design changes, Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Approval (RFA), Confirmation of Verbal Instructions (CVIs), concession applications, design bulletins, and Value Engineering (VE) initiatives and innovation proposals
  • Reviews and validates submitted owner-supplied materials purchase requests (utilizing CostX as applicable)
  • Validates subcontractors' progress billings and payment claims to ensure consistency with contract terms, scope of work, and progress achievements
  • Assesses and verifies variation orders and cost claims submitted by construction cost engineers, ensuring all additional costs are justified, auditable, and optimized
  • Identifies opportunities to improve cost efficiency and recommends value engineering strategies where applicable
  • Tracks the financial impact of design changes in a centralized cost assessment tracker, ensuring data integrity in coordination with construction cost engineers
  • Maintains and updates a project dashboard summarizing budgeted vs. awarded vs. actual costs across all assigned projects
  • Develops and regularly updates unit rate cost databases based on actual project data and historical information
  • Supports project close-out by resolving outstanding commercial issues and assisting in the preparation of final accounts
  • Prepares documentation in compliance with audit requirements, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper cost segregation
  • Coordinates cost-related issues during the monthly reporting of project sites
