HR and Admin Officer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR and Admin Officer to lead HR and administrative functions specifically within our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR-related activities, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Management:
◦ Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for warehouse staff, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and performing background checks.
◦ Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
◦ Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance to supervisors and employees.
◦ Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
◦ Manage performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
◦ Develop and implement training programs for warehouse staff to improve skills and knowledge.
- Administrative Support:
◦ Oversee administrative functions within the warehouse, including record-keeping, data entry, and document management.
◦ Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
◦ Coordinate with vendors for procurement of goods and services.
◦ Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
◦ Handle travel arrangements and expense reports for warehouse staff.
- Warehouse Operations Support:
◦ Collaborate with warehouse management to understand staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
◦ Ensure that HR policies and procedures are aligned with warehouse operational goals.
◦ Participate in warehouse safety meetings and promote a safe working environment.
◦ Assist in the implementation of warehouse improvement initiatives.
◦ Monitor employee attendance and manage timekeeping systems.
- Compliance and Reporting:
◦ Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data privacy.
◦ Prepare and submit HR-related reports to management.
◦ Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
◦ Participate in audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in HR and administrative roles, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Certification in HR management (e.g., SHRM, HRCI).
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
