  • Oversees and manages the general accounting and finance functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, tax management and compliance
  • Assesses current practices and procedures, and recommends improvements and documents the same
  • Prepares, reviews, analyzes, ensures accuracy, completeness and timeliness of submission of financial statements and other standard reports pursuant to PFRS
  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes business intelligence reports as required by the management
  • Performs ad hoc reports preparation and analysis and project management as directed
  • Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Assists in quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Substantial experience in Ship Management and/or IT Management is an advantage
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a managerial role
  • Experience with financial systems, i.e., QuickBooks with at least a Group Admin role
  • Proven experience in Project Management, preferably in automation of Accounting System
  • Proven experience in financial planning and control
  • Proven experience in formulation of financial/accounting policies and procedures
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet and other spreadsheet skills
  • With working knowledge of competency and performance-management principles
  • With working knowledge of business process improvement principles such as LSS, Kaizen, etc.
  • Can create KRAs/KPIs for the accounting department team
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills dedicated to driving and achieving quality results on time
  • Excellent verbal communication and business writing skills
