WHAT IS A/AN SENIOR ACCOUNTANT?

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Wholesale team and acting as the key Finance representative within the business for collection of funds from our Wholesale
  • Represent the business directly with the customers regarding the financial accounts

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

A. Accounts Receivable

  • Generating invoices and account statements;
  • Performing account reconciliations;
  • Maintaining accounts receivable files and records;
  • Allocating and receipting of payments;
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries;
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis

B. Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure timely reporting and ad-hoc assistance to all stakeholders
  • Liaise with customers on outstanding debts;
  • Ongoing reporting and meetings with the Wholesale team

C. Reporting

  • Preparation of reporting for the Board illustrating our outstanding balances and tracking against business KPIs
  • Reporting on credit limits and adherence

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Prerequisite Skills:

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word);
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and able to multi-task while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and contain highly confidential information

Education/Qualifications/Memberships:

  • Completion of Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Accounts Receivable experience 2 years +
  • Infor M3 experience is an advantage
  • Experience in a complex, fast paced business environment(Retail/Wholesale preferred, but not essential)
