Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous compliance with all environmental laws, rules, and regulations governing quarry and mining operations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management and enhancement programs to mitigate the impact of quarry operations.
  • Prepare and submit required environmental reports, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness in support of management decisions and regulatory submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, local communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote a positive environmental image for the company.
  • Oversee the production of planting materials, rehabilitation of mined-out areas, and reforestation of idle company lands.
  • Lead environmental research, innovation, and development projects in collaboration with the academe and partner organizations.
  • Facilitate the effective operation of the Multi-Partite Monitoring Team (MMT) and Mine Rehabilitation Fund Committee (MRFC), including the management of the Monitoring Trust Fund (MTF), Rehabilitation Cash Fund (RCF), and Final Mine Rehabilitation and Decommissioning Fund (FMRDF).
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with the company's Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (EPEP) and Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).
  • Recommend environmental improvements, preventive actions, and sustainability initiatives to management.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Mining Engineer or Geologist
  • Preferably with experience in environmental management within the mining or aggregates industry
  • Strong understanding of DENR, MGB, and EMB regulations, environmental monitoring protocols, and rehabilitation standards
  • Excellent coordination, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities
  • Willing to be assigned in Lugait, Misamis Oriental
