Job Summary
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to manage both assigned and new business within our Technology Sourcing (IT Procurement) pillar. You'll play a key role in driving profitability through accurate quotations, strategic vendor negotiations, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Quotation & Order Management
- Prepare accurate, margin-optimized quotations within SLA using ERP tools.
- Ensure deal registrations are secured and properly incorporated into quotes.
- Collaborate with Sales Administration to process client purchase orders efficiently.
Vendor & Client Engagement
- Negotiate with vendors and distributors to secure best pricing and maximize margins.
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across assigned accounts.
- Stay updated on vendor activity, new product releases, and pricing trends.
Sales Growth & Forecasting
- Manage weekly forecasts and pipeline to support sales growth.
- Own and update client buffer stock accounts and backorder reports.
- Ensure timely shipment and invoicing of backorders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Logistics, Warehouse, and Sales Admin teams to resolve queries and ensure smooth operations.
- Support Finance in managing overdue invoices and collections.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor vendor performance (price, delivery speed, service quality).
- Address and resolve issues to uphold service excellence.
- Stay informed on IT product specifications and procurement trends.
Compliance & Performance
- Meet personal KPIs and gross profit targets consistently.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by Senior Management.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong data entry and ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX) skills.
- Deep understanding of IT products and services.
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing outcomes.
Qualifications & Attributes
Experience
- 3–5 years in operations, customer service, or administrative roles (preferred).
- Proven success in managing and enhancing customer relationships.
Education
- Tertiary education preferred.
