Job Description: Finance ManagerPosition Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role ensures compliance with local regulations (including BIR and SEC requirements) and provides financial insights to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions.

2. Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with PFRS, BIR regulations, and internal policies.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, and liquidity requirements.
  • Oversee disbursements and collections, ensuring efficient working capital management.
  • Monitor bank accounts and ensure proper allocation for operations, payroll, taxes, and reserves.

4. Tax Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of BIR returns (e.g., VAT, EWT, income tax).
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain compliance with SEC, DOLE, and other statutory requirements.

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls across all finance processes.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead or participate in audits and internal reviews.

6. Team Management & Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff.
  • Set KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and support staff development.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, HR, and other departments to support business initiatives.
  • Provide financial data needed for decision-making across the organization.
  • Support management in evaluating new projects, contracts, and investments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred but not required (depending on company requirement).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of PFRS, BIR regulations, and local statutory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
