We're looking for a mid-level Business Development Manager who understands that sales is not just about closing deals, it's about guiding clients through a consultative journey. From the first inquiry to the final handshake, you know how to create meaningful touchpoints that build trust, clarify needs, and deliver real value.
You thrive in a team-driven environment, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Channel Partners to ensure every step of the sales process is aligned with the client's goals. You're skilled at listening, asking the right questions, and connecting cybersecurity solutions to what truly matters to each prospect.
You're comfortable managing inbound leads, qualifying opportunities, and tailoring the experience based on where the client is in their decision-making process. You know how to negotiate with confidence, communicate with clarity, and use your CRM not just to track deals, but to orchestrate a smooth, client-centric sales experience.
You're especially skilled at live conversations - whether that's picking up the phone to connect with a new lead, following up on an inbound inquiry, or confidently navigating objections in real time.
This role is ideal for someone who sees sales as a partnership, not a transaction. You take ownership of your pipeline, manage relationships with intention, and treat every opportunity as a chance to make a lasting impact.
What you will do in this role
- Manage leads from inbound sales inquiries
- Engage with prospects through the entire sales process from lead qualification through to close
- Create a stellar first impression for prospective clients
- Work within a team environment in conjunction with Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Channel Partners to maximize sales efforts and success rate
- Proactively connect with warm and marketing-qualified leads, primarily over the phone, email, and LinkedIn, to qualify interest and set up discovery meetings. This is not a traditional cold-calling role - but you should be energized by live conversations and phone-based outreach."
- Understand clients cybersecurity needs and provide sales presentations in conjunction with the technical sales team
- Become a product expert and actively use the knowledge to grow sales
- Leverage our CRM system to accelerate sales, track deals, and develop the funnel
- Negotiate pricing and terms with prospective clients
- Build credibility and trust to influence buying decisions
- Consistently achieve meeting-booked targets through phone engagement while also leveraging email, LinkedIn, and other channels
What education you will need
- A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Equivalent work experience in business development or sales will be considered.
What experience is required
- 2–4 years of experience in a Business Development or Sales Development role
- Experience engaging Director-level and executive stakeholders.
- Proven track record of booking meetings and progressing opportunities through phone-based outreach
- Previous use of CRM and engagement platforms like HubSpot, Apollo, or Salesforce.
- Experience balancing phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach, with a focus on high-quality conversations.
What knowledge and skills you will need
- Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in speaking with senior leaders.
- Ability to think on your feet, handle objections, and guide conversations.
- Familiarity with B2B sales processes and outbound prospecting strategies.
- Grit, curiosity, and a self-starter mindset. You're not discouraged by hearing "no."
- Team-oriented, coachable, and comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Bonus: Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, or SaaS industry dynamics.
