Job Title: Estimator / Contracts Administrator – Building & Construction

Location: Work from Home (QLD, Australia Time Zone)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Contracts Administrator with a Civil Engineering background and proven experience in cost estimating and contracts administration within the Queensland (QLD) building and construction industry.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and confidence in contacting suppliers to verify material costs and quotations. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and a solid understanding of construction processes and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for building and civil projects in Queensland.
  • Contact and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and verify pricing information.
  • Assist with contracts administration, including preparation, review, and tracking of project documentation.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure comprehensive estimates.
  • Support project managers with budget monitoring, cost control, and procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier communications, quotations, and contract revisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in cost estimating and contracts administration within the QLD building and construction sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating tools and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable calling suppliers and discussing pricing details.
