Work from Home, Philippines Assign Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Experience in the following fields is preferred but not required:

  • Commercial Electrical Contracting – experience estimating or managing electrical work for offices, retail spaces, and mixed-use developments.
  • Residential Electrical Projects – background in new home builds, renovations, or apartment developments.
  • Industrial and Facility Maintenance – understanding of electrical infrastructure for warehouses, manufacturing sites, or commercial buildings.MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Coordination – exposure to multi-trade collaboration in design-build environments.
  • Renewable Energy and Power Systems – familiarity with solar, battery storage, or energy efficiency installations.General Construction or Design-Build Firms – experience supporting contractors or subcontractors on integrated project delivery teams.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Electrical Project Estimator to support our client's estimating and bidding department. This individual will collaborate closely with the licensed electrician and project management team to review project documentation, prepare accurate bids, and generate detailed cost estimates for electrical scopes of work across various project types in the New York and New Jersey markets.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and organized, with experience in electrical estimating and the ability to produce professional, data-driven bids while identifying labor, material, and equipment requirements based on drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Bid & Estimation Preparation

  • Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Perform comprehensive material and labor takeoffs using company-provided templates and pricing standards.
  • Develop complete bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, scope clarifications, and inclusions/exclusions.Coordinate with the licensed electrician and project team to finalize pricing, labor allocations, and schedules.

Documentation & Review

  • Maintain organized records of all bids, proposals, and revisions for internal tracking and follow-up.
  • Identify inconsistencies or missing information within drawings or specifications and escalate for clarification.
  • Assist in preparing Requests for Information (RFIs) and communicating clarifications with clients or general contractors.

Cost Analysis & Data Management

  • Update and maintain pricing databases, including labor rates, vendor quotes, and material costs.Evaluate completed projects to compare estimated versus actual costs, improving future pricing accuracy.

Communication & Coordination

  • Collaborate remotely with U.S.-based teams through video calls, email, and shared project platforms (Google Drive, Sheets, and estimation tools).
  • Report directly to the licensed electrician or project manager for bid reviews and revisions.
  • Provide consistent progress updates on estimates, bid deadlines, and submission timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in electrical estimating or quantity takeoffs (U.S. or international experience acceptable).
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, panel schedules, and riser diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or AutoCAD for takeoffs (or willingness to learn company-specific systems).Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for data management, cost tracking, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components, conduit sizing, wiring methods, and load calculations.
  • Familiarity with general construction practices and MEP coordination principles.Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and common U.S. electrical standards preferred.
  • Background in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is an advantage.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple active bids simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, comfortable collaborating across time zones.
  • Prior experience estimating U.S.-based or NYC electrical construction projects preferred.
