We are looking for a like-minded, like-hearted Business Analytics Manager who is passionate about advancing the Kingdom of God and serving off-grid communities nationwide by bringing renewable solutions for their development.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the SSIG Business Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening business and operational processes to ensure both financial sustainability and measurable social impact.
Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will lead data analysis, reporting, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and mission delivery across HSSi's Operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis & Reporting to SSIG MD and CEO
- Collect, analyze, and interpret business and operational data to generate actionable insights that inform executive-level decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate business performance trends, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Design and maintain intuitive dashboards and reports to track performance metrics across business operations and social impact objectives.
- Ensure strategies and investment decisions are grounded in robust data analysis and aligned with HSSi's scale, sustainability, and impact goals.
Requirements Gathering, Analysis, and Interpretation
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders to understand their strategic needs, goals, and operational challenges within the context of HSSi's mission.
- Document and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with both commercial sustainability and social impact objectives.
- Translate user and organizational needs into clear functional and technical specifications for system improvements or process redesign.
Process Mapping & Improvement
- Review and map existing workflows, particularly those related to last-mile distribution, solar product deployment, customer service, and impact tracking.
- Identify inefficiencies, process bottlenecks, and redundancies that hinder operational performance or dilute social impact.
- Recommend and implement data-informed solutions or technology enhancements that increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve value delivery to underserved communities.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and leadership to ensure shared understanding and ownership of initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions to align priorities and co-create solutions.
- Provide clear communication and regular updates to ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Track the performance and outcomes of implemented systems, processes, or tools, ensuring alignment with intended goals and adaptability to field realities.
- Identify opportunities for further optimization through automation, innovation, or capacity-building initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in data analytics, solar energy, rural development, and inclusive business models, and assess their relevance for HSSi.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, strategy, consulting, or operations (experience in a social enterprise or impact-driven organization preferred).
- Exposure to off-grid solar, rural development, or microfinance is an advantage.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Stata).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (preferred).
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working with grassroots communities or in rural development contexts is desirable.
- Strong passion for social innovation, equity, and inclusive development.
