JOB DESCRIPTION:

The company urgently needs a fulltime CCTV Operator to man a system of closed-circuit television cameras to monitor personnel and daily work activities, deter crime, prevent accidents, and ensure the protection of the interest of people, property, and information.  The Operator also performs other tasks related to safety and security in various locations within and around company premises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·     Monitoring: Watches multiple live and recorded video feeds to detect unusual or suspicious behavior, security breaches, or incidents like theft or vandalism.  Also roams around the office vicinity to ensure that all activities are compliant with company SOPs.

·     Operating Equipment: Uses control devices to manipulate camera positions, zooms in on events, or searches through historical footage for specific information.  Reports any problem with the CCTV and GPS devices and ensures that immediate attention be given by the MIS and Administrative Sections. Reports any incident of unattended Job Orders concerning CCTV and/or other devices and equipment.

·     Incident Response: When an incident is spotted, acts quickly to contact and relay real-time information to Management and/or appropriate authorities, such as the police, security personnel, or emergency services.

·     Documentation and Evidence Handling: Maintains detailed logs of all activities and incidents; stores and provides high-quality video footage and witness statements as evidence for investigations and legal proceedings, adhering to data protection laws.

·     Equipment Maintenance: Performs basic, routine checks to ensure all surveillance equipment is in proper working order and reports any faults for repair.

·     Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·     Observational Skills: A keen eye for detail and the ability to concentrate for long periods are essential for monitoring multiple screens effectively.

·     Communication: Good written and oral communication skills are needed for clear reporting and coordination with emergency response teams.

·     Discretion and Ethics: Operator handles sensitive information and follows strict privacy laws and protocols, so trustworthiness and confidentiality are paramount.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must be a graduate from a bachelor degree program in Criminology, IT or any related field.

Experience: At least 6 months in security or a surveillance role.

Certifications/Licenses: A CCTV Operator Training Course or Security Hardware & System Operator Course certification is an advantage.

Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computer operations, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot CCTV systems are necessary.
