Position Summary
The NDIS Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the organisation meets and maintains full compliance with all NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements. This role plays a key part in managing risk, driving continuous improvement, and safeguarding participants by embedding compliance best practices into all operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Monitor and ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and relevant legislation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NDIS requirements and industry best practices.
- Prepare and manage documentation for NDIS audits and registration renewals.
- Identify compliance risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Ensure policies and procedures are current, compliant, and effectively implemented.
Incident & Risk Management
- Oversee incident management systems, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions.
- Support the team with reportable incidents and liaise with the NDIS Commission as required.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement through regular internal audits and reviews.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance systems aligned with NDIS standards.
- Train and support staff on compliance and quality protocols.
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure all compliance documentation is well-maintained and accessible.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on compliance status, risks, and improvements.
- Maintain participant confidentiality and secure data management practices.
Training & Education
- Develop and deliver training programs to staff on NDIS compliance, safeguarding, and ethical conduct.
- Promote a compliance-aware culture across the organisation.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and the Quality and Safeguards Framework.
- Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or audit roles within the disability, health, or community services sector.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and influence others to follow best practices.
- Comfortable working with document management and compliance software.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Disability Services, Law, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a compliance or quality assurance role, preferably within the NDIS or broader health and human services sectors.
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding principles and participant rights.
- Experience managing audits and external reviews (desirable).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Php Php250.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
