About Us
We are DC Electrical, an electrical contracting business based in Edinburgh, Scotland. We specialise in rewires, EICRs, and domestic electrical services.
We are not just hiring for a task list — we are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of our business. The right candidate will work closely with the owner, building a strong working relationship based on trust and professionalism. As the company grows, you will progress personally and professionally with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage company emails, responding promptly and professionally
- Schedule jobs and update calendars in line with UK working hours
- Assist with preparing job pricing and quotations (training provided, checked at first)
- Create and send invoices, keeping records accurate and up to date
- Provide PA-style support to the business owner (reminders, follow-ups, research)
- Assist with marketing tasks such as posting content on social media
- Use ChatGPT/AI tools to draft emails, create content, and support admin tasks efficiently
- Be proactive, reliable, and committed to long-term success
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Must be available to work UK business hours (at least partial shift overlap)
- Reliable internet connection with backup
- Experience in admin, PA, or VA roles (bonus if you've worked with trades/service businesses)
- Familiarity with ChatGPT/AI tools for admin and content support
- Tech-savvy and willing to learn new systems (ServiceM8 training provided)
- Genuine commitment to a long-term working relationship
What We Offer
- Competitive pay: $5–6/hr (~$400–480/month for 20 hrs/week)
