Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate Junior Pastry Chef to assist in preparing a wide variety of pastries and baked goods. You will support senior pastry chefs with daily preparation, baking, decorating, and maintaining kitchen standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills and grow in the pastry industry.

This is an early morning shift position, ideal for those who enjoy starting their day early and working in a productive, well-organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and baking pastries, cakes, bread, and desserts according to company recipes and standards
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as weighing ingredients, portioning, and mixing
  • Decorate and present pastries in an attractive and consistent manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines
  • Work efficiently under the supervision of senior chefs and kitchen management
  • Contribute ideas for new products or recipe improvements

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of baking and pastry preparation
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in a pastry kitchen (on-the-job training, internship, or work experience)
  • Willingness to learn and improve skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attitude, team player, and positive work ethic
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends or holidays when required
  • Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
  • Open to feedback and eager to grow
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods

Work Schedule:

  • Early Morning Shift (starting between 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM)
  • 6 working days per week (including weekends and holidays depending on business needs)
  • Schedule may vary based on production and event orders
