Job Description

Pastry Creation & Execution:

  • Develop and prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and other baked goods, ensuring exceptional quality and taste.
  • Create seasonal and special-occasion desserts that align with our restaurant's theme and customer preferences.
  • Maintain consistent recipes and production methods to ensure uniformity and quality.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Supervise and train pastry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability.
  • Schedule staff and oversee daily tasks to maintain efficient workflow.

Quality Control & Sanitation:

  • Ensure all pastries and desserts meet our high standards for quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Menu Development & Innovation:
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop new and exciting dessert menus.
  • Stay informed about current pastry trends and techniques through ongoing research.
  • Experiment with new ingredients and flavor combinations to create unique and memorable desserts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Pastry Chef in a fine-dining restaurant or high-end bakery.
  • Culinary degree or certification in pastry arts preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for creating exceptional desserts and providing outstanding customer experiences.
