Key Responsibilities

1. Network and System Management

  • Lead the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of network and server infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other critical hardware.
  • Oversee system performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across all platforms.
  • Manage troubleshooting processes for network and system issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Ensure proper documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Plan and manage system upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance schedules.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of network and system management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree required for this position.
  • Relevant IT certifications required for this role.

2. Team Leadership and Development

  • Supervise and mentor system and network engineers to ensure high performance and continuous skills development.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Allocate resources, assign tasks, and monitor project progress to meet operational goals and deadlines.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and promote a collaborative and accountable team environment.
  • Coordinate training programs to keep the team up to date with new technologies and best practices.

3. Project and Operations Management

  • Lead the planning and implementation of network and system-related projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, incidents, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including procurement and contract negotiations.

4. Security, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance network performance and organisational efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for network and system operations.
