Role Overview
We are seeking a confident and driven In-House Inside Sales Representative to generate new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline. This role focuses on research, outreach, and relationship-building, with a structured process to guide you from first contact through to closing and customer onboarding.
The successful candidate will be comfortable making high-volume calls, engaging with decision-makers, and using our Wastedge CRM system to research prospects, track activity, and manage follow-ups that convert leads into long-term customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect Research & Outreach Use Wastedge CRM to identify and map target businesses, research prospects, and make initial cold calls to introduce URMs services.
- Lead Qualification Ask the right questions to uncover needs, highlight our value proposition, and position solutions effectively.
- Follow-Up & Nurturing Log notes, set reminders, and manage ongoing contact in Wastedge CRM to ensure timely follow-ups and relationship building.
- Closing Support Book meetings, prepare proposals, and assist in handling final objections to secure new business.
- Customer Onboarding Ensure smooth handover of new accounts and look for opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and gain referrals.
- Pipeline Management Maintain accurate CRM records to track leads, measure activity, and provide visibility of the sales funnel.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal communication and persuasive selling ability.
- Confidence in engaging business owners and key decision-makers.
Organised, persistent, and disciplined in follow-ups.
CRM literacy experience with Wastedge (or similar platforms) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Resilient, target-driven mindset with the ability to overcome objections.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in lead generation, telesales, or inside sales preferred.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales KPIs.
- B2B experience in service industries (waste management, logistics, utilities) is an advantage.
