BSD is searching for a personable and passionate individual to join our growing team. We are looking for a self-learner who shares our mission to make the learning and understanding of technology and design accessible to all students and teachers. As a Technical Support Specialist you will help our global network of teachers and students better use and experience our online learning platform, BSD Online.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying and assessing customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Providing proactive support to our users globally
  • Logging and managing customer support data
  • Creating content for our online support / community site

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Has strong written and oral English and Japanese (MUST)communication skills
  • Comfortable working with a range of technologies like, but not limited to: computers, online communication tools like Slack, email, video conferencing software etc, and online collaboration and management tools like Google Drive, Asana, etc. Training will be provided
  • A teaching qualification or demonstrated experience in teaching - preferably teaching to 6-18 year old's within a school classroom environment

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience in customer support, preferably in the education / learning sector

- Proficiency with coding in HTML, CSS and JavaScript

COMMITMENT/COMPENSATION

● 40 hour work week and working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM Philippine Time, in alignment with the Japan time zone.

● Salary (depending on experience)
