SUMMARYWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a strong background in MSP/MSSP sales to generate qualified business opportunities. This role focuses on engaging decision-makers such as business owners, executives, and IT leaders within small to mid-sized organizations. The SDR will educate prospects on IT, cybersecurity, and compliance challenges while positioning managed IT solutions that address these business needs.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and driven to exceed goals in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and prospect SMB organizations (10–300 employees) across industries such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, government, and professional services.
- Conduct outbound sales activities (calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach) to generate qualified meetings with business owners, executives, and IT leaders.
- Clearly communicate the value of managed IT, cybersecurity, and compliance services to prospects.
- Nurture inbound leads and move them through the sales funnel toward qualified opportunities.
- Maintain accurate prospect and activity records in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
- Collaborate with marketing to execute SMB-focused campaigns and leverage content to enhance lead generation.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly appointment-setting and outreach activity targets.
- Provide feedback and insights on prospect needs and market trends to help refine sales strategy.
- Represent the organization professionally and uphold a customer-first approach in all interactions.
- 3–5+ years of experience in appointment setting, inside sales, or sales development targeting SMB clients.
- Proven success engaging business owners, executives, and IT managers to set qualified meetings.
- Strong understanding of managed IT services, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, SOC, CIS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other prospecting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales and marketing teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple prospects and outreach sequences.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and persistent with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with measurable KPIs.
- Willingness to continuously learn about new technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices.
