We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Team Leader with a strong background in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and maintaining high standards of productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

◦ Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including order pickers, packers, and loaders.

◦ Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure they meet performance expectations.

◦ Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and morale.

◦ Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, address issues, and share best practices.

  • Operational Management:

◦ Oversee the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

◦ Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet daily targets and deadlines.

◦ Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control standards.

◦ Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.

  • Inventory Control:

◦ Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock audits.

◦ Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or potential shortages to the Warehouse Manager.

◦ Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage and spoilage.

  • Safety and Compliance:

◦ Enforce all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

◦ Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or unsafe practices.

◦ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

  • Performance Management:

◦ Monitor individual and team performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve productivity.

◦ Conduct performance appraisals and identify opportunities for training and development.

◦ Address performance issues in a timely and effective manner, following company policies and procedures.
