Food Safety Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review product formulations, certificates of analysis, and ingredient lists for compliance with FDA food safety and labeling standards.
  • Prepare and submit product registration, renewal, and notification documents to FDA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Check product labels, nutrition facts, and claims to ensure alignment with current food safety regulations.
  • Maintain updated records of product approvals, safety data, and audit reports.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Monitor updates on food safety laws, regulatory circulars, and labeling guidelines.
  • Assist in handling product recalls, inspections, and customer safety-related concerns.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or other Allied Health or Life Sciences courses.
  • Preferably a Registered Professional (Licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian, Food Technologist, Chemist, or Pharmacist).
  • With training or certification in food safety, HACCP, or quality assurance (an advantage).
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledgeable in FDA regulations, food labeling, and product registration procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with FDA e-portal submissions (a plus).
