Job Title: Videographer and Editor

Job Summary

The Videographer and Editor is responsible for planning, capturing, and producing high-quality video content that aligns with the company's branding, marketing, and communication objectives. This role involves end-to-end video production—from concept development and filming to post-production editing—ensuring all outputs are visually compelling, on-brand, and delivered within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Filming

  • Plan, shoot, and record high-quality video content for marketing campaigns, corporate communications, social media, events, promotions, and internal use.
  • Set up and operate video, audio, and lighting equipment to ensure optimal production quality.
  • Direct on-screen talent, employees, or clients during filming to achieve the desired visual and narrative outcome.
  • Conduct location scouting and prepare shooting schedules as needed.

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos using approved editing software.
  • Apply color correction, sound mixing, transitions, subtitles, graphics, and basic motion elements where necessary.
  • Ensure videos follow brand guidelines, storytelling standards, and platform-specific requirements.
  • Manage revisions based on stakeholder feedback and ensure timely final delivery.

Creative Development

  • Collaborate with Marketing, and other departments to conceptualize video ideas aligned with business goals.
  • Contribute creative input on storytelling, shot composition, pacing, and visual style.
  • Stay updated on current video trends, formats, and best practices across digital platforms.

Content Management & Maintenance

  • Organize, archive, and maintain video assets, raw footage, and project files.
  • Ensure proper naming, storage, and backup of all media content.
  • Optimize video formats for various platforms such as social media, websites, presentations, and internal systems.

Equipment & Compliance

  • Maintain and properly handle all video and production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, copyright laws, and data privacy regulations.
  • Follow safety protocols during shoots, especially in on-site or outdoor locations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, Film, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Videographer and Video Editor.
  • Proficiency in video editing software
  • Strong knowledge of camera operation, lighting techniques, and audio recording.
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics, animations, and graphic overlays is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of branding, marketing strategies, and audience engagement.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Creative, proactive, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

Work Conditions

  • May require occasional travel, weekend work, or extended hours during events or major shoots.
  • Office-based with frequent on-site and field shooting assignments.
