HR Officer

The HR Officer at the provincial branch will manage and support all HR functions and activities within the branch. This role ensures the effective implementation of HR policies and practices, compliance with employment laws, and promotes a positive and productive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
· Support recruitment efforts by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
· Coordinate with HR Supervisor and Transport Manager to understand staffing needs and assist in hiring processes.
· Organize and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
2. Employee Relations
· Initial and on-site as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and issues.
· Assist in managing employee relations, addressing grievances, and resolving conflicts as needed.
· Implement employee engagement initiatives through fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
3. Performance Management
· Implement performance management systems on-site, including conducting performance reviews and providing support for setting goals.
· Monitor performance improvement plans and coaching employees as necessary.
4. Payroll & Benefits Administration
· Process time logs and docs for payroll on a semi-monthly basis by ensuring the accuracy in timesheets, overtime, and deductions.
· Support employees in understanding their benefits packages and assist with benefits enrollment and claims processing
5. Training & Development
· Identify training needs and coordinate training sessions to develop employees' skills
· May conduct training from time to time
· Maintain and update records of training activities and employee certifications
6. Compliance & Documentation
· Ensure that HR practices comply with provincial labor laws, company policies, and regulations.
· Maintain and update employee records, including personal data, attendance, and performance records
· Prepare HR-related reports as required by management.
7. Health, Safety & Well-being
· Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety standards
· Assist in organizing wellness programs and initiatives for employees.
8. Other HR Administrative Duties
· Perform administrative tasks such as managing HR-related documentation, creating HR reports, and preparing correspondence.
· Support in the implementation of HR projects and initiatives in line with company goals and strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
3 years or more of progressive Human Resources experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
· Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
· Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
· Familiarity with contract management and employment agreements.
· Understanding of disciplinary processes and employee offenses monitoring.
· Knowledge of recruitment and staffing strategies.
· Familiarity with developing, updating, and implementing company policies and procedures.
Skills:
· Ability to draft clear and concise reports, notices, and policies.
· Strong analytical skills to review and verify timesheets and billing.
· Ability to analyze performance data and employee records.
· Attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation.
· Strong problem-solving skills to address employee issues and discrepancies.
· Ability to resolve conflicts and disputes effectively.
Abilities:
· Ability to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
· Ability to develop and deliver training on HR policies and procedures.
· High level of accuracy in documenting employee records, contracts, and disciplinary actions.
· Ability to make informed and effective decisions regarding HR matters.
· Capability to evaluate and address employee performance and disciplinary issues.
Location: Amani Grand Arcade ML Quezon Highway Pusok Lapu Lapu City
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday 8 am to 5 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php16, Php17,000.00 per month
