Job description:

Sales Manager – Building Materials (Engineering Background Preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets for revenue and market share in the building materials segment.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, developers, architects, and engineers.
  • Provide technical support and consultation to clients regarding product specifications, applications, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the sales team to improve performance, technical knowledge, and customer relationship management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders across the construction and engineering ecosystem.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analyses to senior management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in construction and building materials.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings as needed to represent the company and promote product offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related field)
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the building materials or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of building materials, specifications, construction methods, and technical standards.
  • Proven track record in sales and account management, ideally with contractors, consultants, and developers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and architectural specifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office, and data-driven sales tools.
