Job Overview

We are seeking a Revit Modeling Technician to support our clients' global Scan-to-BIM production team. This position focuses on creating accurate BIM models from laser scan point clouds for large-scale building digitization projects across North America, Europe, APAC, LATAM, and other regions.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of professional Revit modeling experience and must have previous hands-on experience working with point clouds. This role requires comfort working in both imperial and metric units, the ability to follow established modeling standards, and a strong understanding of real-world construction conditions.

Responsibilities

● Produce detailed, accurate BIM models in Revit based on point cloud data, following 3DMM's modeling standards and client LOA/LOD requirements.

● Import, manage, and interpret large point cloud datasets using Revit, Recap, CloudCompare, or similar applications.

● Model architectural, structural, and basic MEP elements with precision, ensuring real-world conditions are correctly represented.

● Work confidently across both imperial and metric unit systems, depending on project location.

● Collaborate with project managers, scanning technicians, QA/QC reviewers, and fellow modelers in an international, distributed environment.

● Follow standardized workflows, templates, and naming conventions to ensure consistency across global production teams.

● Participate in internal QA/QC processes and revise models based on feedback to meet accuracy and completeness standards.

● Maintain organized project files and contribute to improving production tools, templates, and documentation.

● Meet production schedules and deliver high-quality models within defined timelines.

Skills

● Minimum 2 years of professional Revit modeling experience is required.

● Mandatory prior experience modeling from point clouds (laser scans).

● Ability to work confidently in imperial (feet/inches) and metric (millimeters/meters) project environments.

● Strong understanding of architectural drafting, building systems, and construction terminology across different regions.

● Experience with Autodesk ReCap, CloudCompare, Navisworks, or equivalent software tools.

● Ability to handle and organize large datasets efficiently.

● High attention to detail and ability to interpret real-world conditions from scan data.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote, multicultural team.

● Experience with Scan-to-BIM workflows or LOD300+ modeling is highly desirable.

● Familiarity with ISO 19650 conventions, international modeling standards, or template-based modeling workflows is a plus.
