JOB SUMMARY

The Food Application Specialist will play a key role in developing and preparing product prototypes using our company's ingredient solutions. This role requires hands-on formulation and application work across multiple food categories—including meat products, bakery, sauces & dressings, and beverages—to support customer projects, technical service, and new product development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Formulate, prepare, and test product prototypes using our ingredients in different application areas (meat, bakery, sauces/dressings, beverages).
  2. Ensure prototypes meet desired functionality, sensory quality, and customer requirements.
  3. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the application lab.
  4. Manage raw material and ingredient inventory for trials and customer demonstrations.
  5. Assist the business development and sales team by preparing prototypes, product demos, and presentations for customer visits.
  6. Provide technical feedback and reports on trials, formulations, and product performance.
  7. Support in maintaining application knowledge databases and best practices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Culinary Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in food application, R&D, product development, or technical service (preferred but not required for entry-level)

  • Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of food ingredients and their functionalities in different applications.

  • Practical experience in food preparation, formulation, and sensory evaluation.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, GMP, and HACCP principles.
