Job Summary:
The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing pastries, breads, and desserts according to company standards. This role ensures quality, consistency, and creativity while supporting Wellness Hive Inc.'s philosophy of health, wellness, and longevity. The Pastry Cook assists the pastry team in daily production, recipe execution, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the pastry kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and bake pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts following standard recipes and portioning guidelines.
● Assist in mise en place, including weighing, measuring, mixing, and pre-baking preparations.
● Decorate and finish pastry items according to brand presentation standards.
● Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of ingredients and finished goods.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry workstations, equipment, and tools.
● Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
● Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages or replenishment needs to the Head Pastry Chef.
● Support new recipe testing and seasonal product launches.
● Report equipment malfunctions and assist in preventive maintenance.
● Coordinate with hot kitchen and beverage teams for integrated menu offerings.
● May be assigned tasks not covered by the above regular responsibilities.
