What You'll Do

Be part of our client's team as a Pricing & Costing Analyst, where you'll manage product costing, pricing, and profitability analysis. You'll optimize cost structures, support quoting strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial accuracy, identify efficiencies, and ensure the business stays profitable while making data-driven decisions.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not required
• 5-7 years' experience in Accounting or Manufacturing Finance is an advantage, with 3-5 years' experience in costing or cost-of-goods analysis required
• Experience in data analysis, modeling, and/or financial analysis
• Strong comfort with math and quantitative problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
• Solid mathematical skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, convert English/Metric units, and apply concepts to practical situations
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with internal deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
• Advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others in a positive and effective manner
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a strong eye for detail
• Excellent cross-functional team skills to accomplish initiatives with leaders from manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, product compliance, and warehouse
• Prior work in formula costing or manufacturing finance (COGS, BOM, system costing, PPV, etc.) preferred
• Experience doing profitability analysis and margin improvement work is a plus
• Comfortable handling different customer profiles and adjusting pricing strategy based on risk/volume
• Proficiency in ERP system is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication in English for internal email and coordination
• Ability to help the company understand true costs, price new work accurately, and maintain profitability
• Ability to own costing for formulas/products, focusing on cost of goods (not journal entries)
• Ability to support quoting/pricing for new opportunities, adjusting strategy based on customer risk/size
• Ability to perform profit and system costing analysis - comparing new prices vs delivered prices and other cost data
• Ability to work heavily in Excel, using data exported from the ERP and email quotes
• Ability to pull supplier quotes from email, save as PDFs, and attach back into the system
• Ability to build and update costing models for formulas and finished goods
• Ability to run different order quantity scenarios and recommend optimal approaches
• Ability to compare new prices vs delivered prices for system costing/profit checks
• Ability to email and coordinate with Purchasing and Account Management on price breaks, pack sizes, and excess inventory risk
• Loves problem solving and puzzles; enjoys optimizing order quantities and pricing strategies

How You'll Make an Impact

• Oversee company production costs, including setting and monitoring standard costs, researching operational variances, and identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
• Help lead product pricing, quoting, and financial modeling tools and processes
• Develop strong understanding of product input costs and help improve costs through vendor engagement and negotiation
• Monitor and track material costs and purchase price variances for all production inputs
• Develop detailed understanding of COGS, including BOM and router development, maintenance, and periodic updates
• Leverage collaborative relationships with accounting, business leaders, and executives to identify metrics and KPIs supporting Sales, Quality, and Operations
• Establish structured processes to analyze and review pricing and profitability regularly and on an ad hoc basis
• Support ad hoc financial and operational analyses to ensure timely course correction of resources
• Perform duties in compliance with company policies, safety, SOPs, and GMPs
• Ensure health and safety are priorities by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and acting in a safe manner
• Set improvement goals and drive continuous improvement processes as needed
• Support quoting and pricing for new opportunities, adjusting strategy based on customer risk and volume
• Perform profit and system costing analysis, comparing new prices versus delivered prices and other cost data
• Work heavily in Excel using data exported from the ERP and supplier quotes
• Pull supplier quotes from email, save as PDFs, and attach back into the system
• Build and update costing models for formulas and finished goods
• Run different order quantity scenarios and recommend optimal approaches over a year
• Compare new prices versus delivered prices for system costing and profit checks
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Account Management on price breaks, pack sizes, and excess inventory risk
