Quality Assurance Analyst II

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Quality Assurance Analyst II focuses on writing and executing functional and UAT test scripts to ensure release quality across Frost projects. You will work with a Servicing Manager (per project) and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, design risk-based test coverage for both critical and non-critical paths, and maintain clean defect hygiene through thorough documentation and timely regression testing. You will deliver concise, actionable reports on quality status and risks, enabling confident go/no-go decisions. You will also use AI tools responsibly (per Frost policy) to accelerate test design, triage, and reporting, and maintain rigorous Trello-board hygiene for transparent delivery. Above all, you adhere to Frost's standards, support our delivery cadence, and model our culture through disciplined, outcome-oriented testing.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering; related fields (e.g., Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics) also considered.At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance for web and/or mobile apps within structured SDLC and sprint delivery.Preferred industry exposure: FinTech/Payments, Financial Services/Insurance, Telecom/Digital Services, E-commerce/Retail, Enterprise SaaS/B2B. Nice to have: Utilities, Content/Media, Public Sector digital services.Strong grasp of Agile/SDLC, test design techniques, and the defect lifecycle.Proficiency with test case management and issue tracking.Demonstrated experience in functional, non-functional, regression, cross-browser/device testing, and UAT support with disciplined documentation.Ability to use AI tools responsibly to draft test ideas and test scripts, summarize results, and assist defect analysis; strong prompt hygiene and human-in-the-loop validation.Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with AI features in QA tooling (e.g., Jira/Confluence AI)Experience with automated testing tools (e.g Selenium, JMeter)Experience with accessibility (WCAG), performance testing (JMeter), or basic security testing is a plus.ISTQB (or International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or equivalent certification.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe JobTest Planning & DesignLiaise with internal teams (Business Development Team, PMs, project leads (creative/technical), designers, developers) to clarify requirements, risks, and testability.Create detailed, comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases (functional, regression, smoke, cross-browser/device), as well as UAT scripts, aligned with project's acceptance criteria.Leverage AI (with human review) to draft test ideas from requirements, generate boundary/edge cases, and suggest regression candidates.Assess, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across sprints/releases, including environment and test data preparation (utilize synthetic/anonymized data where necessary).Define entry and exit criteria for testing phases to ensure readiness and completenessDefine defect complexity, severity, prioritization, and SLAsEnsure test artifacts are version-controlled, traceable, and organizedExecution & Defect ManagementExecute manual test cases and UAT scripts; capture results and evidence (screens, logs, recordings).Identify, record, document, and track defects with reproducible steps and clear expected versus actual behavior; verify fixes and perform thorough regression testing.Use log triage/defect clustering (AI-assisted) to spot patterns and probable root causes (validated with the technical team).Process, Metrics & ReportingDevelop and apply testing processes for new features and functionalities; maintain coverage maps and traceability to requirements.Track and report QA metrics (defect density, open/reopened counts, pass rate, coverage) with risk calls and recommendations.Utilize AI to summarize QA status and create release readiness notes, ensuring that no sensitive data is exposed and that human review is applied.Collaboration & Ways of WorkingParticipate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews/retros, cadence meetings, and other alignment activities.Ensure all outputs adhere to Frost's standards (documentation quality, naming/versioning, SLAs, security & privacy).Complete other duties as assigned to meet project and company objectives.Servicing Model & EscalationDay-to-day direction: Provided by the Servicing Manager assigned per project.Escalation path:Delivery issues → Servicing ManagerStandards/capacity/career → Head of PMO.RACI (typical):Servicing Manager = A/R for sprint priorities & acceptance;QA Analyst II = R for test design & execution;PMO Head = A for QA standards.Success Metrics (KPIs)Coverage & Readiness:Test plans and cases finalized, communicated, and approved before the sprint start.100% of critical paths covered; ≥95% of committed test cases executed per sprint.Escaped Defects: ≤10% non-critical defects (minor, cosmetic, low-impact functional issues) reaching production per release.Defect Hygiene:
