Quality Assurance Intern

Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Intern, you will support the QA team in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products. You will assist in test execution, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in QA methodologies, tools, and collaboration within an Agile product development environment.

Tasks & Duties

  1. Testing Support

· Execute manual and automated test cases across multiple software modules.

· Identify, document, and report bugs using tools such as Jira or equivalent.

· Support regression and performance testing as directed by QA leads.

  1. Test Scenario Development

· Assist in preparing test cases and scenarios based on user stories and requirements.

· Validate features to ensure functional and design compliance.

  1. Documentation

· Maintain test plans, test scripts, and bug reports.

· Update QA documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity for future reference.

  1. Collaboration

· Work with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.

· Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and quality discussions.

  1. Process & Tools

· Support QA workflow improvements by suggesting enhancements.

· Learn and apply industry tools such as Jira, Confluence, or test automation frameworks.

Learning Outcomes

· Gain practical experience in QA methodologies (manual testing, regression testing, automated testing basics).

· Develop skills in bug tracking and defect lifecycle management.

· Build competency in writing test cases, test scripts, and technical documentation.

· Strengthen collaboration and communication in an Agile development team environment.

· Understand quality assurance's role in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Job Type: OJT (On the job training)

Contract length: 6 months
