We are looking for an Accounts Support with strong Xero experience, particularly in projects and payroll. This role will provide support to both the Accounts and Admin teams.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with award and statutory requirements
  • Enter and update employee annual leave and entitlements
  • Maintain employee records and leave balances
  • Prepare and submit QLD and VIC payroll tax (PAYG) and superannuation monthly
  • Track and report employee length of service

Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly

Accounts Receivable

  • Set up new customer accounts and ensure data accuracy in Xero
  • Check and create projects in Xero, assigning to relevant Project Managers
  • Prepare and issue client quotes and invoices
  • Monitor outstanding debts and conduct fortnightly debtor reviews

Reporting

  • Generate and maintain accurate financial and payroll reports
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations and reporting tasks

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate with a degree in Accounting
  • Proven experience using Xero, especially with Projects and Payroll transactions
  • With prior experience with US or AUS based companies.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team
