VA Accounts Support

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable VA Accounts Support to assist an Australian client with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone with Xero experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a remote environment.
Position: Accounts Support
Core Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into Xero and other internal systems.
- Assist with basic accounting tasks, including reconciliations (no BAS, GST, or compliance work).
- Prepare and send client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct Accounts Receivable (AR) follow-ups, send payment reminders, and communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and flag any discrepancies.
- Provide general admin support to the finance team while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Assist with admin and order fulfilment tasks as required from time to time.
Minimum Required Skills & Experience
- Xero experience is required (data entry, invoicing, reconciliation).
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with invoicing and AR follow-ups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and office productivity tools.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team.
