WE'RE HIRING: BAKER / PASTRY CHEF

Location: Makati

We're looking for a professional baker to join our team at a busy vegan restaurant and bakery. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking and either experienced in or eager to learn specialty baking — especially vegan and also gluten free or healthy baking.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, produce, and bake a variety of pastries, fried donuts, breads, rolls, and desserts.
  • Develop new baked goods and seasonal menu items.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries using piping and finishing techniques.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately, operate mixers and other bakery equipment.
  • Maintain proper storage and labeling of all baked goods and ingredients.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimize waste through proper rotation and usage.
  • Use leftovers creatively and responsibly.
  • Ensure all bakery stations and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored after use.
  • Comply with food safety, nutrition, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude and work well with the team.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing and able to work early morning or graveyard bakery shifts.
  • Baking experience preferred, but paid OJT (on-the-job training) available for the right candidate.
  • Interest in vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free baking — prior experience is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and consistency.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
