Project-Based Baker

Our sister company is need of a Project-based Baker for a two-month project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and develop a variety of baked goods and desserts suited for the dessert bar theme or event concept.
- Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, cookies, tarts, and other sweet items according to approved recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Create visually appealing dessert displays and ensure the dessert bar setup aligns with the project design.
- Manage ingredient sourcing, inventory, and portion control to minimize waste.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary and event teams to ensure timely production and setup of the dessert bar.
- Experiment with flavors, textures, and plating to enhance the overall dessert experience.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all products.
- Assist in packaging, labeling, and documentation of recipes for reference or future use.
- Clean and organize baking and display areas before, during, and after the project.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or dessert specialist.
- Strong knowledge of dessert preparation, decoration, and display design.
- Creativity in developing new dessert concepts and flavor combinations.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of current dessert trends and presentation styles.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Educational Background:
- Diploma or certificate in Baking, Pastry Arts, or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Food safety certification is an advantage.
