About the role

Manila Bankers Assurance is seeking a talented and experienced Licensed Underwriter to join our dynamic team based in Makati City Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our insurance and superannuation operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Evaluating and assessing insurance applications to determine appropriate coverage, pricing, and terms
  • Conducting risk analysis and making underwriting decisions in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Collaborating with sales, actuarial, and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Staying up-to-date with market trends, product developments, and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of underwriting decisions and activities
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Licensed Underwriter in the insurance and superannuation industry
  • Thorough understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and pricing methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound underwriting decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
