Job Overview

The Sun Star Grand Hotel is seeking a highly skilled Financial Officer to oversee the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, monitoring and reporting on the hotel's financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the hotel's annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring budget adherence and variances, and providing explanations and corrective actions where necessary.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections, as well as accurate processing of payments.
  • Auditing & Compliance: Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, hotel policies, and industry standards.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and manage employee benefits and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the hotel's long-term goals, providing financial insights and analysis for capital projects, expansions, and other investments.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the finance department.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
