We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our customers and colleagues.

Your primary focus will be on resolving desktop-related issues, including hardware and software problems, telephony concerns, and all associated services. You will work closely with our network engineers to ensure seamless issue escalation and resolution.

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong time management and communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective technical support: Respond to requests for assistance, diagnose issues, and implement resolutions within agreed-upon Service Level Agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records: Log faults, contact details, and other relevant information to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with colleagues and service providers to ensure seamless issue resolution and maintain positive working relationships.
 Requirements
  • Relevant experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of desktop hardware and standard/customized software, including diagnostic tools and procedures.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
